This page lists all the know lot numbers allocated by BR to new build (and some converted) wagons and coaches. Wagon lots started at 2001 and reached 4072 in 1991, while coach lots (which included coaches in multiple units) started at 30001 and got to 31352 in 2005. Later builds were not allocated lot numbers.
Lot numbers for some pre-nationalisation companies are included (mainly Southern Railway coaching stock, much of which lasted in use into the 1980s), and more will be added over time.
