Category: Equipment/Fittings
Although all class 777 units have traction batteries (for use around depots), an initial seven have been fitted with additional batteries to allow their use on the non-electrified Headbolt Lane extension to the Merseyrail network. These have been classified as 777/1s, with unit numbers having 100 added.
