Note added Tue 25/04/2023 by Llamafish Category: Incidents/Accidents Ran away at 00:23 on 18th August 1967. Routed into the reception line at Mottram Yard, but ran straight through, before derailing on trap points protecting the main line. Fully recovered by 20th August. 6 wagons behind the loco had to be cut up on site. Source: Railway Magazine, November 1967 |
