On March 8th 1969, this loco was working 7V62 from Washwood Heath to Stoke Gifford when it derailed at Aschurch. The wreckage was then hit by a Bristol - Newcastle express. It was estimated that the train was running about 15mph faster than the 45mph limit of the wagons when it derailed. |
