Former HBA/HEA hopper 360104 (which had later been the prototype for the CEA covered hopper type) was modified at RFS Doncaster in late-1997/early-1998. The hopper was reduced in height, the top now being where the vertical sides had previously started and it was for trial use by EWS carrying Charged Chrome from Immingham to Tinsley. Evidently unsuccessful, it was later rebodied as a standard HEA once more. Photo in March 1998 issue of Rail Express magazine. |
