| SMS730 was used as Horse Bus Information centre outside Baker Street station in August + September 1979 which many would argue was its first use as a service vehicle.As a recruiting bus it suffered a minor accident which pushed in the nearside front sidelight panel so far that the front doors would not shut - it required works repair that was never done, instead it was retained as source of spare parts for SMD91, SMD441 and SPB753.
