An interesting picture taken inside Dalston garage shortly before it closed in April 1981. As well as RM and LS buses (the latter including a brand new Mark2 for the Red Arrow services), a rather unusual service vehicle is visible. 2221B was one of two Bedford CF220 1-ton trucks bought in 1979 and used for just four years. Like most grey Bedfords, the shade is significantly darker than LT standard. I am not sure if the roof of the garage is either very clean, or missing all its glass!

Cliff tells me that the glazing was intact and it's a balance between very bright light coming through the roof and the darker buses. I think he did quite well in the circumstances.
