This is what bus inspectors were driving in the late 1970s. Complete with roof-mounted roundel, Ford Escort 1300 estate car 2054F (OJD754R) was one of 22 such vehicles bought for the role in 1977. None lasted more than three years, though 2054F was still new when photographed at Edgware station.
