Recently added to the database were the Ford Transit minibuses used as crew ferry vehicles by Armchair and Capital Citybus. In both cases the vehicles were late Mk2 models originally bought for National Bus Company subsidiaries. Armchair had C322RPE and D829UTF, photographed at their Brentford garage on 23rd January 2000. Both had Carlyle bodywork conversions and had been new to the Berks Bucks Bus Co (aka The Bee Line, and formed from the division of Alder Valley). They were transferred to co-owned London Buslines in 1988 for use on services for Richmond Health Authority, passing on to Armchair in about 1995. As can be seen, both were repainted in Armchair's white/orange livery, while at least C322RPE gained Crew Bus lettering. C322RPE also evidently retained its Berks Bucks blinds, being set to Sandhurst in this view. Also visible in this photo is a former London taxi. Several bus companies used such vehicles as crew ferries, but it I have no record of Armchair being one of them.
