Apart from communications truck 2488M (and various trailers and cranes), the oldest active vehicle in the central fleet is Land Rover Defender N435CMF. New in 1996 as a British Transport Police vehicle, it has been with Tube Lines since at least 2004. It is based at Acton Works and is only rarely seen on the road. On 24th February 2012 it was found parked outside Smallbills Garage on Bollo Lane. Since last illustrated, the Tube Lines logos have been removed. The winch on the front bumper was fitted from new.
