| As well as ambulances (one of which is visible to the left), both Aldenham and Chiswick Works had an unregistered left-hand drive Bedford-Lacre sweeper truck. Chiswick's example was numbered BL2, and was photographed in the works on 24th April 1967. BL2 was later fitted with a framework extension on the front, to permit the fitting of a snow plough (as seen here). Aldenham's BL1 had a slightly different appearance, and I will publish a photo of it next time. |
