AEC Mercury tower wagon 89Q from the LT Museum collection took part in the HCVS rally to Brighton on 4th May 2008. By lunchtime it was hemmed in by similarly vintage machines, making photography difficult. Damon took this unusual view from the elevated promenade, usefully showing some details of the tower lifting gear and platform.
