Five Ford Courier vans were leased by LUL in 1995 and were built to the original design of this model, showing a lot of similarity to the contemporary Ford Fiesta car and van. Three were reportedly in white and blue while there was one each in red and maroon. 4485F was one of the former but evidently did not have the blue skirt applied as this picture taken at Northwood Station shows. Sixteen further Couriers were leased over the following six years but the majority were to the revised design seen on 5263F. The bus in the background is an RW-class Renault S75 minibus, notable for being bodied and registered in Northern Ireland. Many of these were later transferred to the Bee Line.
