| Details: Taken in 1978, this picture shows a Routemaster bus being pulled out of a hole by AEC Militant 1456MR. RM1542 is the unfortunate bus and it had been stolen before crashing. Haven fallen into what looks like an excavated basement, the strength of the Routemaster design is apparent. The bus was repaired and remained in service until 1992. | |||
