Details: Stage 1 of the Trolleybus replacement programme was introduced on 3rd March 1959, affecting Bexleyheath and Carshalton depots. On the same day, AEC Mercury tower wagon 76Q was photographed possibly working on the removal of the overhead. The location is thought to be West Croydon.
