Comments: | I am interested in all aspects of transport history especially ambulances. I am publicicty officer for the British Ambulance Society and have written a number of books and artcles on the topic. I also like to produce models and have been striving to find a rear view of the converted BEA Coaches used as Uniform Stores so I can model it - I think they had rear doors to enable unifoirms to be loaded via a ramp ?. I have also written a feature on ambulance buses in a recent British Ambulance Society magazine which may be of interest to SV enthusiasts - eg RM 1859 - used as an ambulance publicity vehicle by St John Ambulance,GS 47 used as a Mobile First Aid post by LT St John Corps, RF 477 - used as a Mobile Furst Aid Unit by St John London Eastern Area etc. Happy to correspond with any fellow enthusiasts. |
