I was born in Lewisham, South London in 1934 and I have lived in Greater London ever since. I spent my whole working life as a Communications Engineer, joining the Post Ofice in 1950 and continuing into British Telecom which it became, until I took early retirement in 1990. I now live in Feltham, Middlesex. I still maintain my childhood interest in London Transport which started while I was attending Haberdashers Askes Grammar School in 1948. I only became interested in Service Vehicles fairly recently, when LOTS published their excellent SUP15B. My other interests are Country & Western Music, Collecting British Stamps, and Computers. My favourite quotations are (1) The man who never made a mistake never made anything, (2) 'tis more blessed to receive than to give, (3) Blessed are the ignorant for they know not what they do. |
