The LGOC took over the premises in 1909, and left in 1923. The 1946 Bomb Damage Map shows the building on the Site suffered minor blast damage, probably as a result of a V1 Flying Bomb which landed to the east of the site during 1944. Each garage was visited weekly. Repairs were done at garages wherever possible and equipment only taken away for repair when absolutely necessary. ONLY equipment owned by London Buses Ltd. was maintained by this team. Machines owned by LRT (includes Westlink, Suttonbus, Roundabout etc.) were dealt with differently.
