There were persistent rumors this had a petrol engine. My examination showed no evidence of it. A single row of batteries lay across the back of the cab area from below the seat, and there was another battery on the floor near the steering wheel column. 'MCC Electric' was printed on a small metal plate in the cab area. I believe the confusion lay with non-LT MLL476 a petrol engine version with longer wheelbase from 1951 now preserved
