Two new articulated tractor units were delivered in September 2002 based on the Mercedes-Benz Atego 1828. Unlike the earlier Actros units, these carried day cabs (i.e. no sleeping compartment) and can be recognised by their much more prominent wheelarch mouldings. 2581M (LT52UAW) was parked in the lorry yard at Acton Works in April 2005 alongside 2474M (G227YLT) which was by then the oldest operational service vehicle in the CDS fleet. The trailer is Cartwright extendable flatbed T74.
