| The lorry yard at Acton Works was vacated at the start of May 2025, with the larger vehicles now kept in what used to be the DSM Van Yard within the works. This is a shame, in that it will no longer be possible to easily see the vehicles from passing trains. On the other hand, the new location does offer some new opportunities for photographs of line-ups without fences getting in the way. On 24th May 2025, the vehicles present included (left to right) hired DAF flatbed NC14NDC (which has been in use for about 4 years), Volvo FMX curtainsider KM72XPV (which I noticed has no operator lettering on its cab), MAN TGM demountable LV66XYD, Volvo FMX flatbed KY23LNO and MAN TGM dropside RK14ETT. |
