Despite the delivery of a large number of new vans during 2003 and 2004, hired vans continued to appear in the bus support role. A typical example is this Ford Transit van X948GCF, photographed at Bow on 16th June 2004. This late example of the Mark 5 Transit has had a Buses roundel applied to the bonnet.
