Today's batch of photos covers all four of the Dodge Commando lorries fitted with box bodwork. 2384D was one of the three that had a crew-cab and tail-lift, and it was another of the type to start out with grey wheelarches that were later repainted black. Other changes apparent in the later photo are the addition of a roof beacon light, and a Renault diamond on the front grille. Following a conversation with James, I now know the location of this photograph, and it is a place I was not previously aware of. About 200 yards south-west of the main Parsons Green Works, there was a small vehicle yard at the corner of Whittingstall Road and Beaconsfield Walk. This appears to have been used for overflow parking, though it has long since been built over. This discovery is useful because I had a few photos marked as Parsons Green (such as this line-up) which I could not relate to the main works. The wall in the background of both photos belongs to an adjoining small industrial premises, accessed from Lettice Street, and still there in 2020. An aerial view showing the area has since been added here.
