The most distinctive vehicles in the central lorry fleet are the ten Mercedes-Benz Atego rescue tenders, which (livery aside) resemble fire engines. Two each are allocated to Battersea, Camden and Stratford, the remainder being based at Acton works (two 'live' and two spares). Short-cabbed 2601 was caught entering the works on 30th July 2010.
