| No mistaking the operator of this van! Ford Escort Y562WGC originated in the Armchair fleet (see earlier photo) but has since been relettered and transferred to North Wembley. Note the allocation code and fleetnumber 007 above the windscreen. North Wembley is of course a long way from North Greenwich, where this photograph was taken on 7th July 2008. The answer is probably that the van was on standby in case any of the Metroline buses then being used on DLR enhancement services suffered technical problems. |
