London United was one of the 11 bus operating units set up in 1989 in preparation for the privatisation of London Buses. Initially these continued to utilise vehicles supplied by CDS, often until individual leases expired. London United retained a number of ex-CDS vehicles and indeed some of these are still in use in 2003. One that is not is 3748F (G911CLJ) which arrived in 1989. Note that the unit's logo is applied in a more prominent manner than before, and that the central stock number has been retained.
