After making use of converted buses for many years, the role of rescuing broken down buses was later performed by trucks such as this. 1991F was a Ford D1110 open truck with towing equipment new in 1976, and seen here attending to a DMS class bus. These vehicles ran on trade plates throughout their life and were replaced by Leyland Freighter recovery trucks in the mid-1980s. 1991F was allocated to Tottenham bus garage in 1984 and withdrawn shortly afterwards. |
