An interesting message from the Ipswich Transport Museum relates to a Lacre sweeper they own. This was reportedly new to Tilling before passing to Eastern Counties. The thing is, it carried reg YL6093, which we have listed as being on R38. R38 was at TC (Croydon) which was a Tilling garage. Perhaps someone can shed some light. On the subject of sweepers, I have a short article on their uses in the 1970s that I keep forgetting to post. Apologies to the author concerned. |
