| Details: Newly-formed bus operator Centrewest bought three high-roof Leyland DAF 400 vans in June 1989, basing them at Westbourne Park, Alperton and Uxbridge. This is the first photo seen of the Westbourne Park example, taken at its home garage on 10th July 1990. It is not known how long the vehicle was used for but according to the DVLA it was later repainted blue and was delicensed in mid-1999. Note the Dennis Dart bus (DT47) alongside. This was a Selkent bus, loaned to Centrewest for familiarisation prior to the arrival of a large fleet of DW class Dennis Darts (to replace the MA class minibuses such as the one seen on the right). And who remembers Westbourne Park working route 15?! | ||
