| Details: A second batch of Mercedes 307D trucks was delivered in summer 1986, this time totaling ten. All were bodied with a curious type of curtain-sided box body, where the curtain appeared to retract upwards. The trucks were registered in the C7xxWLB series, with some of the (non-matching) numbers duplicating those on the slightly earlier C7xxVOY batch. They were at least numbered in registration order. Vehicles from this batch were allocated to the Commercial Advertising section, and they appear to have been rarely photographed. This view of 2454M at an unknown location has been selected as it shows the large 'London Transport Advertising' later applied to the plain rear of the bodywork. All ten trucks were sold in 1993. | |||
