Details: When the service vehicle fleet was renumbered in 1939 it was on the basis of vehicle manufacturer. As Associated Daimler vehicles were listed as ADCs, they took the lowest numbers, before the large fleet of AECs. 4E and 6E were both 6-ton tower wagons, seen here at Ferry Lane works in April 1949. With lettering already obliterated, both vehicles were scrapped two months later. |
