Most London Buses service vehicles are allocated either to bus stations or the headquarters at Victoria. An exception to this rule is Sycamore House at Thornton Heath. Formerly the head office of the South London bus unit, it now acts as a focal point for vehicles covering areas such as Croydon, Wandsworth and Mitcham. Parked under the trees (from which the building presumably took its name) on 1st June 2004 were four red liveried vehicles. From the left they are Vauxhall Movano 5209V, Ford Transit 5584F, Vauxhall Zafira 5570V and Transit 5585F.
