Comments: The PHA/PHO/PHV codes were used for various bogie hopper designs plus one batch of bogie box wagons that were restricted to 45mph. In the 1990 recoding exercise, the remaining wagons were changed to JEA, JFA, JGA, JGV and JHA, while the box wagons became JYA. The PHA code was then used for self-discharge hopper wagons formerly coded PGA.
