| Details: While the Cleaning Services department liked the Leyland Sherpa, the Publicity section had a marked preference for the Bedford CF model. Other departments also used this type, but Publicity had three generations, with owned CF vans new in 1977/1978 being replaced by leased CF2s (with black grilles and Bristol MHY/Y registrations) in 1982/1983 and these replaced by more CF2s (with grey grilles and Newcastle D/YBB regs) in 1987. All of the vans were red, and the third generation was notable for not carrying their fleetnumbers. Stockwell Garage had a publicity office in its entrance roadway and several vans could usually be found parked outside. This photograph from February 1988 shows 3433B flanked by graffitied 3431B and a Ford Escort van. Withdrawn just over thirty years ago in August 1990, this particular van has recently been found to still exist. In fact it has been restored in London Transport Advertising livery (similar to that seen on 3434B but with some non-authentic alterations) and was rallied at Kames Car Show in Scotland in August 2020.
