| Details: The Vauxhall Chevette model was nearing the end of its life when London Transport started taking examples in 1980. A total of 45 were received, all except eight of which were estate cars. A further two of the similar Chevanne model were also taken. 3074B (KHU165X), photographed at Chiswick on 5th August 1984, shows the model in its most recognisable role, that of the Inspector's car. Such vehicles have always had short working lives with London Transport and 3074B was withdrawn after just two year's use allocated to Ash Grove garage. | ||
