| Details: The lowest numbered service vehicle in my first ABC was 968R, listed as a Jones 2-ton crane built in 1948 and acquired in 1952. Although registered, it is not known if it ever left the confines of Chiswick Works, where it was photographed on 28th July 1977. It was still present by the time of the open days in 1983 and 1984 but was presumably disposed of between then and the complete closure of the works in 1990. The site of this picture is now an ultra-modern business park. Note the derelict garage sweepers strewn around. | ||
