I believe this may actually be 337V as that is described by JCG in 1940 as being this type of vehicle but carrying registration BYE517 (rather than BYE157). BY517 is a Croydon registration and would seem like yet another error, so maybe this one should be removed?) (This note was originally posted against the record of un-numbered vehicle BY517. That record has now been deleted as it was shown to actually be the same vehicle as 337V BYE517) |

The Flicker link photo is not this vehicle at all. That one is a pedal tricycle that was stored in Merton Garage as late as 1959. It apparently carried tea and crockery for bus crews at Epsom Derby days, and being pedal powered carried no registration number! |
